How to move home safely during lockdown

On Monday 4th Jan, a third national lockdown was put into place by the government. Lockdown 3.0 is somewhat different from the lockdown back in March as the housing market can remain open this time!

In summary, to move home safely in lockdown 3.0 ensure to adhere to the below rules.

- Viewings should be conducted virtually if possible, consider a zoom or facetime type walkthrough of our property with prospective viewers before allowing them to view in person.

- If people are being shown around your home, you should open all internal doors and ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned after each viewing with standard household cleaning products.

- We recommend that you vacate your property while viewings are taking place to minimise unnecessary contact.

- When moving between properties, you and those in your household should try to do as much of the packing yourself as you can. Where this is not possible, you should speak to removal firms in advance. There is further advice about this below.

It goes without saying that social distancing still applies throughout the house moving process.
