World Laughter day was created by Dr Madan Kataria, who founded the worldwide laughter Yoga movement. The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter.
1. Try Laughter Yoga
Laughter yoga (Hasyayoga) is a modern exercise involving prolonged voluntary laughter, based on the belief that laughing voluntarily provides the same psychological benefits of spontaneous laughter. It is often done in groups (through zoom at the moment) and forced laughs often lead to real contagious laughter.
2. Bring laughter to others
Why not send your friends and family a silly selfie, or even a postcard recounting your silliest memory together – this will brighten their day and knowing you’ve made a loved one happy will brighten yours too!
3. Be ridiculous
Participate in a silly outfit day, dress up and wear something bold, or horst a silly costume amongst your workmates or friends. This is sure to make you and the people around you chuckle throughout the day!
“When you laugh, you change and when you change the whole world changes around you.” Dr. Madan Kataria
